Description
In short you get a plug’n play desktop 3D printer with the ability to customise your 3D printer settings and so print with a wide range of different 3D printer materials.
The Da Vinci Junior Pro 3D printer features
One of the major differences between the Pro and the previous Da Vinci 3D printers is that you can use 3D printer filaments from any manufacturer, it has an open filament system, this together with an upgrade of their XYZware allows you to be able to adjust multiple print settings like: print speed; Print support; retraction settings; extruder temperature. You will have to discover what settings work best with what filament but it means that even speciality filaments can now be used. You can also slice your models with popular opensource software giving you even greater versatility.
Despite it’s compact size it has a build volume of 15cm x 15cm x 15cm that is more than adequate for most 3D printer applications, generally this accommodates peoples 3D printing needs unless you have a particular need to build larger models, in which case you can look at the Da Vinci 1.0 Pro.
The da Vinci Jr. Pro uses an intuitive 9-point calibration detection system that accurately determines the distance between the extruder and the print bed. Bed height and level is one of the most important things for successful 3D printing, so a little help is always welcome. It also boasts an Auto Loading filament system for easy changing and installing of filaments.
The da Vinci Jr. 1.0 Pro features a new wind duct design which enhances the cooling effect to provide a smoother printing performance; great for 3D printing overhangs!
The 0.3mm diameter extruder is an optional add-on in the da Vinci Jr. series, designed for intricate prints. Capable of a 50 microns resolution, the nozzle gives a smooth and spectacular print surface, perfect for hollow and thin structures, and versatile print.
The print area is enclosed. This is gives greater extrusion consistency during printing, helps to reduce warping and improving print bed adhesion. The enclosed build area also protect investigating hands from the hot parts of the printer so that it is safe for the office, classroom or the home.
XYZ Pro printing Software
the XYZware Pro software makes it very easy to download and upload designs from and to the 3D printing community. It is very easy to use and will have you printing your first designs in no time. The Pro software gives you the power and versatility to really hone your printing, allowing you to tweak your settings to give you that perfect print.
