Description

The Cetus 2 Deluxe

The Cetus 2 is the latest version of Tiertime’s awesome Cetus series 3D printers. The Cetus 2 utilises a dual extruder that allows for on-the-fly multi-colour and multi-material 3D printing. But the Cetus 2 comes with all sorts of additional Bells and Whistles including Pressure sensor determined Automatic Bed Leveling and Z-offset calibration, Material Flow monitor together with it being an open filament and open slicer printer. The specification of the printer means that you can use a variety of different materials, making the printer extremely versatile.

What are the features of Cetus 2?

On-The-Fly Dual Extruder

The innovative Dual Extruder makes dual colour and dual material 3D printing, simple, fast and saves on material. There is no need for stopping and using purge towers or aligning multiple extruders.

The advantages of dual extrusion are for both creating complex shapes by using solid infill materials, composit prints with material properties added to different areas of the model or just cool multi-color 3D printing. The dual extruder allows you to print in, essentially, blocks of Material/colour but it also allows you to blend colours. There really is a lot of scope with the range of filaments it is able to use in combination with the versatile Dual Extruder.

Fully Automatic Calibration

The printer uses a built in pressure sensor to provide fully automatic bed leveling and Z-offset calibration. Obviously manual leveling is an option if you want to but we all know that this can give very mixed results. The Auto calibration helps ensure the quality of your print as well as reduce issues with first-layer adhesion. We found this to be great.

Versatile Control

The Cetus 2 features a built in Expressif Wifi and AIOT chip. The onboard wi-fi has speeds of up to 150Mbps. This means that you can remotely control your printer and perform fast Firmware updates. Or you can go old School with the Micro USB or SD card upload of your files. The Printer also has a 4.3″ Touch-screen to control your printer.

Filament Flow Detector

The Cetus 2 Deluxe comes with a Filament Flow Detector. This will Pause the printer if it detects that the printer has run out of filament or the filament has become broken or the extruder become blocked.

Utilise a Broad Range of Materials

You can use a large range of different 3D printer filament materials. The printer can use the usual PLA, ABS and PETG. But with its direct drive Dual extruder you can also use TPU and also make use of extremely functional materials like ASA, PC and PA.

Build Quality

As with all Tiertime printers the build quality is very high. It is a very solid printer with a full metal construction. The Cetus 2 comes as a modular kit. But don’t worry there are essentially 4 Modules to screw together, the z/y-axis back plate, the x-axis arm, the dual extruder and the base (that houses the electronics and the platform). Added to a number of screws there are 5 cables to connect one of the ends for. The whole process takes about 30mins, but take your time and don’t rush. Once that is done simply manually lower the z-axis so that there is a sheet of papers distance between the nozzle and the platform, turn it on, run “initialize”, Run auto calibration and then load the filament. That all takes about 10mins. Then you are ready to print. It is very simple.

So, in conclusion, what ever you need to do the Cetus 2 has probably got this. It will give you hours of creative 3D printing whether you are a hobbyist or engineer. With simple and easy control and that great Tiertime Build quality we all know about.

To prevent ordering incorrect items, if you are unsure just ask and we can offer some guidance. However, bear in mind that we cannot say whether a particular product will be right for the purpose that you intend to use it for. You can return your goods to iDig3Dprinting for any reason within 14 business days following receipt at your delivery address as long as they are in a re-saleable condition. Filaments & resins cannot be returned once opened as once exposed to air these items perish. Downloadable goods and 3D print samples cannot be returned and no refund will be issued. Shipping costs of returned items are paid by the customer A full refund will be issued for unopened items that are returned in their original packaging that are in a "as new" re-saleable condition minus additional costs that are incurred by iDig3Dprinting like payment processing fees, custom duties or charges. We are afraid we cannot issue refunds for products that have been defaced, altered, used, or damaged in any way. All requests for refunds are subject to inspection by iDig3DPrinting of the returned item. We are not a charity or a lending library. Refunds and returns for faulty items works a bit differently. Faulty goods can be accepted for return upto 60 days from receipt of the goods (However we prefer to offer diagnostics and repair solutions prior to an actual return, its better for the environment). After this time you will need to contact the Manufacturer. A repair or replacement will be issued for faulty goods once they have passed inspection and been found by iDig3Dprinting to be faulty. This is a brief account of our returns policy. For the full terms please see our Terms and conditions page. Content on the Terms and Conditions page supersedes this content.
