PETG is a great filament, not least because of its transparent qualities. If you print thin walled models then you can achieve a translucent effect. The thinner the wall the more transparent.
It’s also easy to print with, is very durable with good mechanical properties. The other advantage of PETG is that it has good chemical resistance to water, acids and alkalis. Our formula uses a Raw polymer that is certified ISO 10993 safe for contact with the skin for over 30days and even for use subcutaneously for up to 30 days (Although please don’t use the filament in this way).
You will have most commonly encountered PET-G (polyethylene terephthalate with glycol) in plastic bottles but it is also used for the production of fibres and housings for electronic devices.
