Description
Black ASA filament from iDig3Dprinting is a high quality ASA filament.
We believe ASA ( Acrylonitrile styrene acrylate ) filament to be better than ABS. It is stronger but also it has very good UV and chemical resistance properties. It is UV stable and weather resistant so if you plan on putting your 3D print outside or in direct sunlight then you really must use ASA filament. In terms of printability it is like ABS in that you need a heated bed and that it is more prone to warping than PLA but overall we find it produces better quality prints than the ABS filaments we have tried.
We know that some people have found this to produce better results on their Zortrax printers than the Zortrax own brand ASA.
If you haven’t tried ASA filament we strongly recommend it.
Our ASA Filament is sold in 1kg spools in both 1.75mm and 2.85mm diameters. The filament is shrink wrapped with silica gel to ensure low moisture content and so that it reaches you in ready to print quality.
NB: Store in a cool and dry location (15-25°C) away from UV light; for best results use within 12 months of purchase.

To prevent ordering incorrect items, if you are unsure just ask and we can offer some guidance. However, bear in mind that we cannot say whether a particular product will be right for the purpose that you intend to use it for.
You can return your goods to iDig3Dprinting for any reason within 14 business days following receipt at your delivery address as long as they are in a re-saleable condition.
Filaments & resins cannot be returned once opened as once exposed to air these items perish.
Downloadable goods and 3D print samples cannot be returned and no refund will be issued.

Refunds and returns for faulty items works a bit differently. Faulty goods can be accepted for return upto 60 days from receipt of the goods (However we prefer to offer diagnostics and repair solutions prior to an actual return, its better for the environment). After this time you will need to contact the Manufacturer. A repair or replacement will be issued for faulty goods once they have passed inspection and been found by iDig3Dprinting to be faulty.
This is a brief account of our returns policy. For the full terms please see our Terms and conditions page. Content on the Terms and Conditions page supersedes this content.
How to raise a return request

We can be quite flexible but this is built upon a foundation of mutual respect between our customers and iDig3Dprinting.

I have a small business printing items for outdoor use so ASA is the perfect filament for me to use.
I have tried many different brands of ASA with varying results, but this one is hands down the best I have used so far. It prints beautifully on stock settings and doesn’t suffer from the brittleness that many other brands do. It is also the least stinky ASA I have printed with so far, and as an added bonus it comes on 1KG rolls (most other brands seem to only come in 750g). It also arrived very quickly and was well packaged. This is going to be my go-to ASA brand from now on.
