The new hotends have been optimized by the global specialist e3D™. This new partnership with the English manufacturer has allowed BCN3D to work closely with the renowned company in order to equip the printers with top-level features in terms of hotends and extrusion systems. The improved hotends include the machining and engineering know-how acquired by e3D, which ensures the highest quality standards, providing a smooth and reliable extrusion under different printing environments. The new e3D hotends are fully compatible with all previous Sigma and Sigmax printers.
Making full use of the Sigma’s dual extruder technology, the IDEX swappable hotend system means that you can use different hotends for different purposes, whether for different materials or to make your 3D printing more efficient. All you have to do is select the right hotend for the job from the BCN3D Hotend family. Print up to three times faster without giving up quality: finer outlines and coarser infills.
For example you can print your perimeters with a 0.3mm hotend and the infill with a 0.8mm hotend, or, print your model with 0.8mm and detailed PVA supports with the BCN3D 0.4mm hotend.
BCN3D Sigma IDEX hotends come in:
0.5mm - Hardened Stainless Steel, ideal for carbon fibre filament like ColorFabb XT CF-20
Hotend X (0.6mm)
The latest Hotend to grace the BCN3D E£ family is the Hotend X. This is designed for printing with fiber filled materials like PP GF30 and PAHT CF15. It is only compatible with the Epsilon W50 and Epsilon W27.
With the IDEX full metal hotends the Sigma can print any material you need to fit your requirements, from common PLA to the most advanced technical plastics like Nylon or PC, independent of the filament manufacturer.
